an awareness raising project on refugees and human rights
using theatre/drama techniques


2015  WHAT IS IT

“it could be me – it could be you” is a project on refugees and human rights.
  It addresses  310 teachers and 500 students of primary and secondary education as well as 35 youth trainers in 4 cities: Athens, Thessaloniki, Patra, Rodos in Greece.

a) to raise awareness on human rights and refugees issues
b) to support schools and teachers who work or want to work on relevant school projects

a) Seven (7) teacher training seminars of 18hours each in 4 cities for teachers and youth facilitators
b) Six (6) school-networks with 20 schools in the area of greater Athens,  3 schools in Thessaloniki and 3 schools in Patras where school teachers work together with external drama pedagogues.
c) School Action Days where students of the schools involved will meet and work together
d) Teacher support and consultancy

Management & Facilitation
The project is managed and facilitated by experienced trainers of the Hellenic Theatre/Drama & Education Network in association with staff from UNHCR. During the School Action Days other youth facilitators are also involved
